NGHN, Inc. is the managing service organization for Planned Parenthood. NGHN's vision is to achieve clinical and operational quality improvements through best practices and data driven implementation and utilization of Electronic Practice Management (EPM
) and Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Position Description:
The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting and administering a secure and flexible IT environment for NGHN. This includes both corporate-type and product development technologies. The Systems Administrator will provide support for NGHN staff and customers to ensure the best use of IT resources. The Systems Administrator will also support the NGHN customers with installation and configuration of NGHN products and services to ensure proper data processing and transfer for reporting systems. The elements of the NGHN IT infrastructure include MS SQL Servers, co-location facility, Citrix, VMware, virtual and remote computing, MS Windows, Storage Area Networks, enterprise backup management, virus and spam protections. Major application systems include Citrix desktop, NextGen practice management system and electronic medical records system, custom developed data processing and reporting systems, MS Exchange, FTP server.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have a solid technical background in IT user support and systems administration. S/he will have experience in monitoring and maintaining a technical environment, including application/server administration, while also providing direct assistance to staff and customers (i.e. helpdesk). On an ongoing basis, s/he will be able to perform both business and technical analysis and develop an appropriate solution. The successful candidate will have excellent communication, listening and problem solving skills to understand issues, discuss possible solutions, and then communicate the agreed-on solution to all parties.
1. BA/BS degree required.
2. 5+ years experience in managing and supporting users in following technologies: MS Active Directory, Citrix/Terminal server, VMWare, Exchange, Windows, Office.
3. 5+ years experience supporting both technical and non-technical end users in virtual/remote environments; demonstrated commitment to outstanding customer service.
4. Demonstrated ability to create Technical Documentations for both internal/external users.
5. Demonstrated ability to administer and support MS SQL Server 2005/2008 environments.
6. Demonstrated ability in effective Time and priority management.
7. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and handle changing priorities.
8. Demonstrated ability to effectively handle stress and difficult customer interaction situations.

Responsibilities
1. Perform application/system administration and user support (Windows AD/File/Print Services, Exchange, NextGen, Citrix, SQL Server, Help desk system, and general desktop computer usage support).
2. Establish, support and administer various development, testing and deployment environments for NextGen and Data Warehouse systems.
3. Ensure backup and recovery, security and virus protection and license compliance of NGHN infrastructure and applications with direction from Manager, IT.
4. Develop, implement and maintain IT infrastructure and application environment to support current and future operations with the focus on security, privacy, licensure, performance and capacity with minimal interruptions.
5. Proactive monitoring, auditing and maintenance of all NGHN infrastructure components for on-going compliance with internal and external policies and optimal and cost effective operations.
6. Provide support to participation organization in installation and upgrade of NGHN products.
7. Support development, implementation and maintenance of secured data flow of Quality Information Warehouse and Frameworks Quality Control systems
8. Support the maintenance of data integrity and security in across systems

Duties:
Oversee crew of 24 + employees and complete all aspects of daily operations including but not limited to: paper work, ordering supplies, inventory and cash control, hiring and firing, promoting business through advertising and/or specials, settling all on-sight problems and other functions that are normally associated with a management position, including upkeep and cleanliness of inside and outside of the building and signs.
Schedule: Manager will work 45 + hours per week, Monday Sunday, 7:00 a.m.
11:00 p.m. Hours will vary depending on business needs.
Salary:
36,0000 annually plus profit sharing bonuses, medical/dental benefits.
Vacation:
2 weeks vacation after the first year, 4 weeks vacation after the second year.

State Director/ Transportation Issue Campaign
Growth Options for the 21st Century (Go21) is a national non-profit advocacy organization promoting greater use of rail to meet transportation demands. The full-time home-based State Director will be respo
nsible for grass top/grassroots organizing for the purpose of building local support for Go21s federal legislative objectives. We are specifically looking for candidates who currently live in either PA or TX. The State Director should be an experienced advocate who understands how organizing, media/communications, and other strategies and tactics fit into the context of an advocacy campaign. We seek highly motivated team players who can handle multiple responsibilities and can stay on top of information and tasks in a fast-paced political environment.
Job Responsibilities
Working with Go21 national staff to develop and execute state specific strategies and tactics in assigned states.
Recruiting and building coalitions of key political figures and opinion leaders in targeted congressional districts.
Educating and activating local and statewide community leaders in support of a federal legislative agenda.
Generating grassroots letters and other communications to Members of Congress.
Researching Go21 targets, prospective coalition members, and other potential allies.
Planning and executing special projects including press events, in-district events with Members of Congress, and DC fly-ins
Travel is 6-8 days per month.
Qualifications
An undergraduate degree is required for this position. 6-8 years experience in public relations, government affairs, organizing or similar political experience.
10-12 years of experience is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of the political process including demonstrated ability to recruit and mobilize individuals and organizations in support of public interest objectives.
Dependable and well organized; able to multi-task and manage time effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to the changing priorities of political issue campaigns.
Strong computer, oral and written communication skills.
Federal or State legislative experience a plus.
Interest in and commitment to rail-based transportation solutions.
Salary commensurate with experience; benefits package includes paid medical and dental, FSA, and IRA with match; position open until filled.
