I've been an independent headhunter and telesales/lead gen person working from home for over 10 years. It's getting a little lonely and I would like to hook up with at least one or two other like-minded experienced motivated phone sales people and/or re
cruiters to work with in Central Seattle. We could work at each others' houses/apts. a couple of days a week. I have phone colleagues, but I want to be around some flesh and blood coworkers from time to time. I live near 21st and Union.
Recently 3 different people have approached me with commission only projects and there's a small chance I will land a $50/hr short-term recruiting gig soon. I think there is real opportunity to make money in these if you don't need a base salary to function. One of the opps could turn into a job with a 40 -50K base salary in the next few months if the company builds enough sales revenue and you want to commit to achieving a quota. It's a non-toxic cosmetic/beauty product sold to salons and has great potential for reorder.
Another involves working as an agent in the trucking/logistics//freight industry and has great potential for residual income. I'm currently being trained by the agency owner who's been in the trucking biz for over 30 years. Another likely opp is in the real estate industry working for a successful realtor, both buyer follow-up and recruiting more agents. Most of my recruiting is in the hi-tech industry, usually for sales roles. I may have an opporotunity coming up for recruiting for realtors where you would make a fee every time the realtor sells a house.
You would not be working for me. I would not be your boss. YOu would likely be getting your compensation directly from the client companies, not from me. We would not be economically bound to each other. I might get a little extra from a company for bringing you into one or more of these sales or recruiting projects, but mostly I want a couple of coworkers to take lumch with a couple of days a week, to sit in the same home office for comraderie, laughing, toasting success, spirited efficient venting when things screw up, sharing anecdotes, making each other coffee, snacks or whatever, providing a sounding board for strategic/delicate situations, occasionally proofreading emails, help with some Escel feature, etc.etc. That kind of stuff. The total will hopefully be greater than the sum of our parts.
I have wifi. You would need a laptop and cell phone to work from my house. I would need wifi to work from yours. I prefer people in the neighborhood as I don't have a car and would rather be in walking distance if possible. We would be selling or recruiting via phone and email all over the country.
I'm a non-smoking female in my 50s, a misfiat in corporate culture and haven't owned a pair of heels since I was a teenager--which is why I do business over the phone and never got into field sales. My house has high ceilings so it feels spacious to work in and my new housemate will be keeping laying hens in the backyard so you can probably have a free fresh egg every now and then when you're over here. I also have a massage chair (I was formerly a massage therapist) and wouldn't mind a couple of five minute massage exchanges every now and then.
I'm looking for self-motivated good natured people who know sales well and want/need to make money but aren't greedy or cut-throat and think that business should serve life and not the other way around. If this sounds like something that could work for you, let me know.
